🔗 Share this article The Opening Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed. Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing about PlayStation as a new development. Last year proved to be complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its key platform. The Current Inclusions A pair of titles you can play right now as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's truly noteworthy. Major Titles on the Horizon On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights." Noteworthy Smaller Games But even the smaller games set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game. This UK-developed survival title from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly. Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by Rebellion Developments, is also a game to check out. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about. A Well-Rounded Collection All in all, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they don't represent first-party juggernauts that justify the service by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — transforming them into excellent choices to get a second chance on Game Pass. Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
