First Lady's Digital Currency Architects Facing Market Manipulation Fraud Lawsuit

The architects responsible for a virtual coin released by First Lady of the United States Melania Trump have been alleged in court filings of orchestrating a fraudulent operation.

Initial Launch and Price Surge

The $MELANIA coins were issued for just a few cents each on January 19, one day preceding former President Trump took office.

Alongside the $MELANIA coin, the former president launched his own digital currency shortly prior to the inauguration ceremony.

Within hours, the value of the $MELANIA cryptocurrency skyrocketed to nearly $14 per coin.

Rapid Decline in Price

Yet, the market price plummeted just as rapidly, and presently trades for less than 15 cents – less than a fraction of its highest value.

In parallel, the $TRUMP coin hit a high of $45.47 and now trades for under six dollars.

Court Claims and Investors' Arguments

The plaintiffs assert that the coin's creators planned the maneuver conscious that the digital currency's value would plummet.

Mrs. Trump herself is not included in the court case. Investors stated they do not believe she was at fault, but alleged the crypto companies of using her and other familiar faces as a cover for their illegal activities.

Trading Venue Involvement

In newly filed federal filings, investors allege executives of the Meteora digital asset exchange, where $MELANIA was initially traded, of establishing a plan that allowed them to secretly buy substantial volumes of the cryptocurrency.

Their partners then promptly liquidated these cryptocurrencies, earning significant gains while causing the value to crash, per documents filed in Manhattan federal court.

Wider Proceedings

The claims regarding the First Lady's coin have been incorporated into judicial actions involving multiple additional digital currencies, which started in spring.

The Trump organization has according to reports generated over one billion dollars in pre-tax earnings from various digital currency-linked enterprises and organizations over the previous twelve months.
